After a year of dealing with business drama and negative energy, Diane knew she had to pick a new mortgage company. Scared to make another wrong decision, she researched other companies that all looked promising. When several sounded good, how do you know whose best? The first trip to Dallas showed her that you three really care about people and making others successful. After blastoff, stillwater, and loan center signs started disappearing as we’ve decided to get “all in”.
The Harney event took it over the top, while we wooed our Teller/El Paso realtors the real goal was to get our foot in the door in Summit County where Diane can deal with the upper end client and deal with larger loans in a more fun environment. I can’t believe all three of you came out and helped, and, it worked! Diane and Mary have been setting appointments, production partners are coming up with new ideas with everyone putting new deals on the board.
As I sit in my office with the door closed, Dean and Rebecca are starting their first day, the first 203 k is being imputed, realtors and clients are coming and going, and it’s downright noisy out there with positive energy.We’all couldn’t be happier with “y’all” and please keep up the good work and thank you for all you’ve done for Diane. I’ve never seen her this excited about work!

As we come to a close of a busy month, I find myself reflecting on the people that made this month so special. Shawn Poe is the first to come to mind. I am repeatedly telling my processor that back in the day one could never get a underwriter to return a call or answer an email, let alone take the time to care.
Working with Benchmark and with Shawn has made my life so much easier. Shawn has provided turn times of less than 24 hours, he seems to work all night and on weekends, he just gets the job done. He is always available by phone or email to answer questions and takes the time to teach and train. Shawn is a shining example of excellence that Stewart promised me I would experience when I came to Benchmark. Benchmark and Shawn under promises and over delivers every time.

I’m not sure where to begin. I feel a tremendous acceptance and belonging with our current team, and the Benchmark family. I joined this industry in 2003
I was brought up in a blue collar family in southeastern Massachusetts. My father, a Boston Irish ship pilot, who is a man of few words, installed hard work and tenacity in me at an early age. When I moved to California, I fell in love, but struggled initially with the industry I had joined. I had some huge successes, and some bumps, but never felt a true commitment from ownership.
I finally made the decision to find a new home last fall. After a lot of recruiting and interviewing I concluded that Benchmark was the only choice. I made the right decision. I have been very impressed.
